Our Background
Disability Sport Western Cape was established on the 16 May 2003 in Vredenburg, at the first Unity Games for Persons with a Disability that was hosted in collaboration with the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport and the Local Municipality.
At these games; the three Discipline Sport structures (II; Deaf & Physically Disabled) signed the Memorandum of Agreement:
Committed themselves to promote Disability Sport amongst all the respective affiliated members from:
- School & Club level,
- District level,
- Provincial level,
- National Level, and
- International Level
